Pure Peptides Cape Town (purepeptides.co.za (opens in new tab)) turns out to have better-documented lab testing than our last pass credited it with — but a 2026-09-06 re-check found a second self-contradiction on its own site, on top of the delivery-fee mismatch we'd already flagged, and it remains the lowest-scoring vendor we've verified.
What we verified directly
- Named labs, with visually-confirmed certificates (revised 2026-09-06). A dedicated "Testing" page hosts 12 embedded certificate images we downloaded and inspected directly: Janoshik (a Czech lab) HPLC purity reports for BPC-157 (99.464%), TB-500 (99.047%), CJC-1295 (99.274%), Retatrutide (99.169%), Tirzepatide (99.029%) and Ipamorelin (99.731%), client-labeled "Purepep"; and Bio Services (Reg CK86/09164/23, Honeydew/Johannesburg, est. 1986) ICP heavy-metals reports (arsenic/cadmium/lead/mercury/antimony, all passing) for other SKUs. Certificates sit on one general testing page rather than linked per product, and most are roughly 6–18 months old — more specific than most vendors in our set, but a step below LEOLABS's per-product report links.
- Mixed catalog. Peptide patches (GLOW, Semax, Selank, NAD+), injectable peptides (BPC-157, Semax), plus amino drinks, BCAAs, collagen products, exosome products and NMN — a broader wellness-retail mix than a peptide specialist.
- Several items out of stock at the time we checked, which is a real usability signal, not just a documentation gap.
- Some pricing shown — e.g. NMN listed at R1,350.
- Payment methods, revised 2026-09-06. Its Terms & Conditions page now names Yoco, PeachPayments and PayFast as payment processors — PeachPayments and PayFast are new since our last pass. The manual-EFT (Nedbank, "PUREPEP (PTY) LTD") option we found at checkout previously wasn't independently re-confirmed this pass, but nothing contradicts it either.
Where it loses points
- No registration number or physical business address found on the pages we checked (beyond the Nedbank account name).
- Shipping cost inconsistency: the site's Shipping & Returns page states a flat R150 nationwide rate (free over R4,500), but a live checkout for a vial product had priced delivery at R200 and restricted the delivery method to "Cape Town and outlying areas (vials only)" on our last pass — we could not re-trigger this dynamic checkout state on 2026-09-06 to confirm it still happens, but the static sitewide claim is unchanged.
- New (2026-09-06): a second, separate contradiction on returns. The Shipping & Returns page states "we do not accept returns. All sales are final," while the Terms & Conditions page states "Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery" for unopened, unused products. Two of its own policy pages disagree on whether returns exist at all.
- Stock availability issues suggest possible inventory or fulfilment friction.

Bottom line
Pure Peptides actually documents its lab testing better than we'd previously found — two named labs with real certificate images we inspected ourselves — but that's undone by two separate, unrelated self-contradictions on its own site (delivery fees, and now returns) plus the thinnest business transparency in our set. Still the lowest composite score of the thirteen vendors we've verified.
